The Evolution of My Editing (2010-2015)

For those interested in how my work has evolved over the years, check out the GIF above to see the timelines of my videos morphing over the years. (They look different beginning with This is Not a Conspiracy Theory Episode 1 because I switched from Final Cut to Premiere Pro.)

There was also an unseen leap in complexity between TINACT 1 and 2 because Nora and I started producing our own music, which spawned additional timelines in Logic Pro and Ableton Live. Also not apparent is the rise of collaborator contributions from people like Louis Wesolowsky, Adam Farnsworth and Joshua Michie. Their work in After Effects and Cinema 4d is only seen here as simple clips.

Nonetheless, the steady increase in the density of the edits is still apparent. By TINACT 3, the most sophisticated thing I've produced yet, the timeline has practically become a wall of clips.

Below is an early look at TINACT 4, which I've just resumed production on. As you can see, it's still early, but this episode will likely be even more intricate than TINACT 3.

Everything is a Remix: The Force Awakens

"Everything is a Remix: The Force Awakens" is now live! You can watch the full video above. And over on Kickstarter you can get our Star Wars inspired t-shirts and an early edition of my upcoming short book, The Remix Method. We've already hit our goal and if we get to $20k, we can definitely produce another Remix video. To get there will almost certainly require some larger backers, so for all you businesses and organizations, give those higher level rewards some consideration.

Episode 4 production resuming shortly

Episode 4 production has been on hold for about a month while I'm working on a new Everything is a Remix. That video is wrapping up right now, so Episode 4 will be back on track shortly. On the Road to Episode Four

It took over four-hundred-and-fifty hours of labor to get here, but This is Not a Conspiracy Theory Episode Four is now in production. As soon as time permits, I'll publish a new "Making Of" episode which will reveal the script writing process of the last few months. I'll also be inviting viewers to contribute to the production of the new episode. I've written promising material about one of the most politically dynamic and media rich eras in American history, and production has the potential to be enormously exciting.
